Resident Rob Burgess, with support from S4B and Age UK Manchester, is bringing a unique wellbeing programme to the Brunswick community. Why not come along and discover how creative activities can help support your mental wellbeing?

For Brunswick resident Rob Burgess, creativity has always been more than a hobby. Over the years, he has found that art and crafting can help quiet a busy mind, reduce stress and create a sense of purpose and wellbeing. Inspired by the positive impact creativity has had on his own life, Rob wanted to offer others the chance to experience those benefits too. That’s why he developed No Worries: Guided Art Coaching for Living Well, a friendly course that combines creativity, conversation and practical techniques for managing everyday worries.

Starting on Friday 11 September, this weekly course is designed to help people take a break from everyday worries, overthinking and anxiety through relaxed, guided art activities.

The sessions will explore simple ways to shift perspective, recognise new possibilities and develop practical approaches to managing worries. Whether you’re looking for a creative outlet, a chance to relax, or an opportunity to connect with others, everyone is welcome.

No previous art experience is needed. The sessions are suitable for all abilities, allowing participants to take part at their own pace in a friendly and supportive environment.

Led by Rob, an experienced artist and crafter, the course will run for 6 to 12 weeks, depending on demand. All materials and equipment are provided, along with tea, coffee and plenty of good company.
