Brunswick Street and Artillery Court
Brunswick Street looks very different now since the regeneration and investment programme started in 2014. The old shops including a butchers, convenience store, health centre and chippy were all demolished as part of the regeneration works making way for the 60-apartment extra care development Brunswick Village for the over 55’s to be built. A new medical centre, dentist and chemist have also been built replacing the old services.
Artillery Court one of the four high-rise blocks in Brunswick, has been wrapped in a warm rockwool insulation and a light purple colour render added. New glass balconies, windows and front doors, along with new kitchens and bathrooms have also been fitted. Communal areas have been upgraded with new lifts, CCTV, windows and laundry facilities.
The new housing office in the Polygon development stands at the end of Brunswick Street completing the changes made to Brunswick Street.
