If you allow your dog, or a dog in your care, to foul a public area and do not clear it up, it is an offence.
You can be given an on-the-spot fine, (a fixed penalty notice or FPN) of £80 if you don’t clean up after your dog.
If you refuse to pay the fine, you can be taken to court and fined up to £1,000.
So if your dog fouls, clean it up and dispose of it responsibly.
Dog poop bags can be purchased from many places including supermarkets, budget/pound shops and various online companies.
There is no dog poop fairy, so don’t fall ‘foul’ to a fine!
