As advised by Greater Manchester Police, to prevent burglars, people living in a high rise or block with a communal entrance should:
- take extra care and not allow people to follow you through communal doors (tailgating)
- never leave communal entrance or exit doors unlocked
- report suspicious people in the building
- be vigilant for unknown or suspicious people loitering around the building
- always remember to keep your individual flat doors locked.
