This year’s Brunswick Big Light Switch on takes place on Tuesday, 6 December from 4.00pm in Gartside Gardens Park.
Residents are invited to come along to enjoy a warming drink and some chocolate treats, and following a selection of Christmas songs, the Christmas lights will be switched on. There may even be a very a special appearance from the man in red!
It is also St Nicholas Day, as well as the Feast of St Nicholas, marking the start of Advent and the date when traditionally Christmas decorations should be hung and trees dressed, which remain in place until 12th night on 6th January.
