Do you or someone you know have no access to the Internet and would benefit from a device such as a Chromebook or Tablet?
S4B are supporting a new scheme introduced by the Manchester Libraries and Work and Skills teams to help get Manchester’s most digitally excluded residents get online.
To be eligible, you must:
- live in Manchester
- be aged 19 years or over
- have no Internet access
You also must have/be at least one of the following:
- long term health conditions
- a disability
- aged 65+
- be on a low income
Anyone eligible for the scheme will receive a Chromebook or tablet to keep, with internet connectivity provided until 30 June 2022, along with one-to-one support on how to use the device.
There are 300 devices up for grabs so make the application soon and check eligibility.
