A credit union is a co-operative, owned and run by members. They also offer great value loans – so if you need are considering approaching a loan shark… STOP! Think Credit Union! A much cheaper and safer alternative.

Malaki has been a Credit Union volunteer for three years and said: “The Credit Union is a great way to save money. It’s easy to join and there is no pressure to make payments you cannot afford.

“Being based in the Church  is the perfect venue. There is a real community spirit here, and people are so warm and friendly.

“And when we are here on Tuesday’s, there is also the well-being cafe so people to get also get a warm meal and a drink if they like, plus there are staff on hand to offer help and advice.

“There is also free Wi-Fi and access to other community groups such as Brunswick Workclub Plus. There really is something for everyone.”
