On Wednesday 8th July S4B, with the help of local tenants and residents, Chorlton on Medlock Allotment Society (COMAS), Friends of Gartside Gardens, (FOGGS) and Brunswick Parish Church, joined forces for a community planting event.

Plants and planters were provided by Manchester City Council as part of a successful bid to the Clean City Project http://www.manchester.gov.uk/cleancity

Manchester City Councils investment in Manchester airport has given the city a one-off cash boost of over £14 million to create a greener, cleaner Manchester.

The planters will remain in their current location on Brunswick Street until further regeneration works take place when the planters will be rehomed.

If you are interested in joining COMAS or taking part in any future gardening events, please email secretary Martin Toal, visit their website www.comallsoc.co.uk or call us on 0300 555 0128.
