Especially now the warmer weather is upon us and we are opening our windows and venturing outside more, here are some things to consider to ensure we can all live in harmony:
Noise levels
- Keep noise at a reasonable level, for example from TVs, stereos and radio
- Remind any guests to be considerate of your neighbours
- Let your neighbours know if you are going to do anything noisy, such as having a party or doing DIY
- Co-operate with your neighbours if they ask you to reduce noise
Cars and parking
- Park considerately using any designated bays provided
- Switch off your car engine once you have parked up
- Avoid slamming car doors
- Do not carry out repairs to vehicles in the car park
Rubbish and waste
- Dispose of rubbish in the bins provided
- Arrange for bulky items to be collected by a charity or the council
- Report fly tipping to us
Smoking and vaping
- Do not smoke or vape in communal areas or close to shared entrances
- Extinguish cigarettes properly and dispose of them in the bin
- Dispose of vapes at dedicated recycling points
Kerb Appeal
First impressions count and can say a lot about the neighbourhood and the people that live there. Here are a few tips to help keep the neighbourhood looking good:
- keep gardens clean, tidy and litter free
- keep window sills clear of rubbish
- keep balconies clean, tidy and litter free
- make sure all rubbish goes into the correct bin or recycling, do not fly tip by leaving rubbish lying around
