On Saturday, 10th February the community will be coming together to celebrate the Lunar New Year. The event will be held at Brunswick Church Brunswick Street, M13 9SX during the afternoon.
There are three sessions and timeslots to choose from:
- Faichun – an age old tradition of writing lucky words in gold paint on red paper to make into displays to hang on doors (12.45-2.45pm)
- Red pocket making – that can be made into lanterns, another ancient tradition to share good luck and wealth (3.00-5.00pm)
- Dragon puppet making (5.15-7.15pm)
Get your tickets from Monday, 5th February at the S4B Housing Office reception and Brunswick Church, or you can book online via Eventbrite. Scan the QR code in this flyer. Numbers are limited so get your ticket early to avoid disappointment. Due to high demand, sessions/tickets are limited to one per person.
Your ticket will not only will you gain entry to the event and your chosen session, you will also be able to enjoy a free drink, sweet treat and a free play on one of the games. You will be able to play additional games for a £1 donation.
Activities in the afternoon will also include, arts and craft stalls, traditional food, drinks and Karaoke. There will also be eight games stalls to choose from plus Dragon hat making.
