Well people of Brunswick, it’s almost time for the Friends of Gartside Gardens annual funday once again.
This FREE fun-filled extravaganza will return to Gartside Gardens park (on Kincardine Road, Brunswick M13) from 12:00-4:00pm on Saturday, August 12.
It will be fun, fun, fun all the way with bouncy castles, face painting, balloon art and a rodeo bull among the highlights. There will also be stalls with food, plant making, football and live music.
And in true Manchester style, why not come along and have your face painted like a Bee, or even get a Bee themed balloon to get the event really buzzing!
You can also see chainsaw artist Karl demonstrating his unique carving skills. Two years ago Karl carved the Manchester Bee standing proud in the park, next to the ‘Peace Tree’ which was planted last week in memory of those who tragically lost their lives, or were injured in the Manchester Arena terror attack, on 22 May. A special space has been created to give people a place to come and remember, and time to reflect.
Craig Eastham, Chair of the Friends of Gartside Gardens, said: “Our annual event is a great way of bringing members of the Brunswick community together.
“This popular event is fast becoming a permanent fixtures in people’s diaries with so many great activities for all the family.
“So why not come along and join in the fun – there really is something for everyone”.
