Rosh Hashanah is the New Year in Judaism and this year takes place from the evening of Wednesday, 2nd to Friday, 4th October 2024 and is one of Judaism’s holiest days.

The two-day celebration marks the start of the Jewish New Year and is filled with traditions. Many Jewish families will spend some of Rosh Hashanah at a Synagogue, the name given to the building where Jewish people go to worship.

Rosh Hashanah feasts traditionally include round challah bread (studded with raisins) and apples dipped in honey, as well as other foods that symbolize wishes for a sweet year.

From all of us here at S4B, may we wish Shanah Tovah (pronounced shah-NAH toe-VAH and means good year or happy new year), to all of our Jewish customers, colleagues and partners.
