S4B are hosting an open day at New Brunswick to highlight careers in construction to potential new starters.
The open day will be held in the sales and marketing suite at New Brunswick on Thursday 16th June (9am – 4pm). S4B are inviting students of high school and college age, as well as school leavers and university graduates who have an interest in a future in construction to join them for what promises to be an interesting and informative event which could potentially lead to a new career path in construction.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see the project first hand, meet the people involved and get a feel for what it is like to work in the industry. They will also have the opportunity to ask the team any burning questions they may have about a career in construction.
Alyssa Knowles, bid coordinator for Galliford Try Partnerships, said: “Our open days are a fantastic opportunity for those interested in construction to come to site and see exactly what we do as an organisation.
“There are lots of different careers available in construction, which many people may not even know about so we would advise anybody who is interested to come along and ask us anything. It could spark a new career so it’s a great way to spend a day.”
All attendees must register for the event in advance and should go to http://opendoors.construction/site/338 to book a place.
Open Doors 2016, from 13 – 18 June, offers young people & those looking for a career change the unique chance for you to see behind the scenes at major ‘live’ construction sites across England, Scotland and Wales.
