Maisonettes and houses
Residents in maisonettes have also been provided with fire safety information packs.
The maisonettes do meet strict fire safety regulations, however; all maisonette blocks will also be included in the fire safety and compliance review to reassure all of our residents.
Residents in houses have also been issued with a fire safety information leaflet and details of what to do in an emergency.
In the event of a fire or other emergency, you should leave your home immediately, raise the alarm at the call point and call 999.
Get out, raise alarm, stay out and call the Fire Service out – dial 999.
If your escape route is blocked:
- Head to a room with a window
- Close the door and use blankets or bedding to stop smoke getting under the door
- Call 999 or, if you haven’t got a phone, shout out of the window
