High rise – stay safe policy
Fire safety enhancement work is now complete at all four of the high rise blocks in Brunswick – Lockton, Silkin, Lamport and Artillery Court.
Now this work is complete, as from 1st February 2019, fire wardens will no longer be in place and all four blocks will have a stay safe policy in the event of a fire.
We have written to residents at all four blocks and issued this leaflet with more information about the move to a stay safe policy.
If you see fire or smoke: Dial 999, raise the alarm, stay safe, close all doors and windows and wait for the Fire Service to attend.
If you feel unsafe, affected by fire, heat or smoke, or if instructed to do so by Fire Service, LEAVE the building.
Raise the alarm for other residents via call points which look like this.
Alarms don’t automatically connect to the fire service – always call 999.
S4B has also visited each high rise to speak to residents and to identify anyone who would need help to leave the block in the event of an emergency. Each person identified has completed a personal emergency evacuation plan (PEEP). If you have not completed one please contact us.
If you have any other concerns about fire or other safety issues please contact us.
