On Tuesday 31st January, free NHS health-checks were available to residents in Brunswick.

Manchester Health and Well-being Service, buzz, set up in Brunswick Church for customers to come along and get a full health and well-being check.

Neighbourhood health worker, Rose, and health and well-being adviser, Sadie, were on hand to offer health and lifestyle change advice, while Miriam performed the health-checks.

Rose said: ““This is an excellent opportunity for 40-74 year olds that are not on medication for diabetes, high blood pressure or heart conditions, to take advantage of a comprehensive health MOT’.

“Plus you can learn some invaluable tips on leading a healthier lifestyle, and get the support you need to make essential lifestyle changes such as quitting smoking, losing weight and reducing alcohol intake”.

And don’t worry if you missed the session on Wednesday, there is still chance to attend one near you – visit buzz Manchester to find out about other events.
