Manchester City Council (MCC) are giving you a brand new bin.
Over the next few months they will be taking your old black rubbish bin away, and replacing it with a new, smaller grey one.
From 1st August 2016 your existing 240 litre black bin will be swapped for a 140 litre grey bin, the aim being to increase levels of recycling taking place in the city, and reduce the proportion of residual waste being generated.
MCC will be communicating the process with residents from mid-July onwards.
